SCHOOL LOCKDOWN REPORTED AT GALLATIN COUNTY SCHOOLS, JUNCTION

GALLATIN CO.—The Gallatin County Schools building in Junction was on lockdown this morning as a precaution after a student allegedly made threats of bringing a weapon to school.

We’re still clarifying reports, but official information from the school has it confirmed that one Caleb Jones allegedly made threats of the nature that he would retaliate against some perceived affront against him by bringing a weapon to school. As a result of this alleged threat, when Caleb wasn’t at the school this morning (one report has it that he was there but he left; we’re checking that one out), officials decided to play it safe and lock down the school.

Authorities then made attempts to locate Caleb, who lives in Equality (he’s the nephew of the infamous John B. Jones of Equality).

They reportedly found him in or around Eldorado; wherever he was actually located, we’ve been told that ‘rado authorities had him in custody shortly after the lockdown and he was being transported back to Gallatin.

Our sources aren’t real sure how long the lockdown is in effect, but kudos to GallCo Schools officials for taking this step, as you can’t be too cautious under such a circumstance, since you never really know.

More as we get it; keep checking back, and sorry for the site overload.

  1. Shutting down is the right thing to do….the faster the better..our kids are our treasures…kudos to the admin for taking these expedient measures..

  2. Maybe he and his Uncle can go to prison on a Family Plan.

  3. It’s a new age and this period of time you can not dismiss anything of that nature as an idle threat. Sad but true!

  4. …then again, you could just expel the little fcuks that think it’s smart to make such threats, and send ‘em straight to the Job Corp to complete their education… 8)

  5. Marguerite may want to take back those Kudos if she checks out how fast the Admin.acted .This isn’t the first time Mr. Jones has done this. With an Uncle on the School Board ,David Aud Brother N Law to John B. Jones and with Lucinda afraid to act on anything in fear of stepping on toes before she gets her new appointment.

  6. Still at loss how that appointment is good for the school and our kids, she is too worried about be “politically correct” so she can get to where she wants to go instead of where the school needs to go. Its is already a mess down there without her help. GALLATIN COUNTY POLITICS.

  7. I do not know the admin in Gallatin County..but if you guys don’t think she’s right for the job..and too political..do something about it..does look very knit together to me..get a petition up…ask them stand behind their complaints..

  8. Not much can be done about her Maruerite .Like Lost Says ,it is Gallatin County Politics. The same rules of everywhere else does not always aply here.Complain to much and thiongs will happen but not for you but to you.

  11. Yes he was bonded out of jail, rumored by Frank Sisk of Equality. He has not returned to school. They will discuss whether or not he can at the board meeting Thursday night. Apparantly the lock down on the school was let up today.

  12. Thank you for the info Morelli. Now if the Board will do the right thing.
