US DISTRICT CT, SOUTHERN DISTRICT OF ILL.—It’s all over for Raymond Martin compadre John Robinson.
The man who was said to have been shuttling dope, money and weapons from drug gangs in Chicago the likes of the Latin Kings and Gangster Disciples to points south—like Gallatin County—for former sheriff Raymond Martin has been sentenced in U.S. District Court in Benton as of today.
Robinson, 57, of Equality, charged with Possession of Firearm by a Felon in federal court earlier this year, was originally given a sentence of 180 months in federal prison when he entered a plea July 18 of this year.
But sources have advised Disclosure today (11.04.11) that Robinson was given a 50 percent reduction in sentence for his “cooperation in the Martin case.”
What exactly that means for Raymondo’s upcoming appeal remains unknown at this time….but it’s a pretty sure bet that if the man gets a new trial on appeal, he’s going to be as sunk as he was on the first one if Robinson has been telling the truth to the feds about his dope-running activities with the former sheriff….and maybe, just maybe, with others in Gallatin County who have been involved in aspects of the drug trade there for YEARS….others the likes of which most folks wouldn’t believe would be involved in such a thing because they’re ‘fine upstanding citizens’…just like, five years ago, no one wanted to believe that what Disclosure was writing about the sheriff was TRUE.
But it was. And we’re here to tell you, if what we’re hearing about Gallatin is the case, there may yet be plenty of heads to roll.

We have the Southern Illinois Drug Task Force, lead by the inimitable Glenn Rountree, to thank for this sentencing and ongoing investigation, as their work, along with agents from the Illinois State Police, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, has been invaluable in turning up what most certainly can be considered ongoing drug conspiracy in southernmost Illinois. Here’s hoping we hear more about the SIDTF’s work, and soon.
More about it as we get it….in the meantime, we’ll keep an eye on where Robinson is going to have to park his carcass for 90 months, and bring that update to you as we receive it.

Well it was sure thoughtful of them to let him off with half the time since he put a sheriff away. Glad that part of the saga is over. I hope Raymondo doesn’t get anywhere with his appeal but it may turn out that he gets less than his original sentence. Whatever the case may be I am doubtful he gets out of prison anytime soon, except to go to his appeal hearings.
Well, he’s not even getting to go to those….and Robinson didn’t help with putting the sheriff away; he was already put away when Robinson was busted earlier this year. Robinson, we’re understanding at this point, is helping with SOMETHING ELSE regarding Raymondo….and hopefully we’re going to see what that is pretty soon.
I sure hope we learn what is going on and hope this appeal gets Raymondo more time, instead of getting his time reduced as he is clearly hoping for.
OF….there is no reduced time in fed….he’s just wanting a new trial. And if he gets these upstate Northwestern University “Downstate Illinois Innocence Project” pukes, he’ll not only bet it, but he’ll get out of it too, because those idiots will strip the feds’ case against him and suppress evidence, and we’ll hear a WHOLE NEW presentation of Raymondo, guaranteed.
Wow so he could actually be cleared of his charges? This is very encouraging for the justice system. This may be why little Miss Tina is so proud of herself and acting so innocent, going on as if nothing is wrong. Wonder who pondered up this idea after such great efforts were proven to send him to prison in the first place?
No, he wouldn’t be cleared of anything….he’d probably be found guilty on everything the defense attorneys allowed the feds to bring in…but he probably won’t be SENTENCED to anything as extreme as he was on charges 4 and 5….they’d probably manage to get the sentences around the five-year mark, and he’d be out in about the mid/late 20-teens, and when he got out, he’d be meaner than ever. So everybody had BETTER start hoping that the rest of the heads roll in Gallatin….because all those people Raymondo “did bizness” with are STILL OUT WALKING AROUND FREE (except Robinson), and most of them have never even come under suspicion.
I can’t emphasize this enough: PEOPLE IN GALLATIN COUNTY, YOU KNOW WHO THE CRIMINALS ARE. YOU KNOW WHO’S SELLING ANNY; WHO’S TRADING Rx PILLS, WHO’S GROWING DOPE IN HARD-TO-REACH PLACES, WHO HAS **TOO** MUCH MONEY FOR WHAT THEY’RE DOING IN THEIR FARM OPERATIONS. YOU **HAVE** TO START TALKING TO THE FEDERAL PEOPLE. SKIP THE LOCALS AND STATE, AND GO STRAIGHT TO THE FEDS. BECAUSE IF YOU DON’T, AND RAYMONDO GETS OUT OF THIS, THE LEVEL OF HELL YOU AND YOUR KIDS/GRANDKIDS/GREATGRANDKIDS ARE GOING TO ENDURE IS GOING TO INCREASE TENFOLD.
It took brave people to come forward and tell us the stuff we were told in 2006 about Raymondo. C’mon, brave people….you don’t have to tell us this time. But for God’s sake, TELL THE FEDS. GET THESE CREEPS SHUT DOWN….BEFORE THEIR DOPE KILLS ONE OF YOUR KIDS!!!
I honestly figured it was a sentence reduction type thing but I hope it doesn’t help him and I hope any judge or jury in their right mind upholds the verdict and the sentence. You are right though the brave and the informed better start having everyone investigated that is involved. Skip over all the local crap and leak your info to the feds they will pursue all leads and handle the business. They want him to stay right where he is and if anything can help that happen believe me they would take it and use it. No investigator likes his case blown to shreds. Do as Jack said and start talking and reporting of these horrible things before more lives are ruined.
I hope it is helping put Tina away and definitely the other “Big Fish” in GCO. I bet there are some very nervous people in GCO right now. Oh wait, no, they probably think they are untouchable. Well, Raymond thought that too and they need to see where it got him.

I think it is now in the hands of the people of Gallatin County to do their share. Don’t look back later and say that you knew this or that was going on with Raymond, Tina, or anyone else and complain about what happens if no one wants to report what they know. With the suspicious deaths involved in this county, it may be a very scary thing, but it took one person, JP, and a lot of balls to do what he did to see years of corruption by RM and family to go down. Surely there are more of us out there that want to clean up our county and that want what is best for the young people here. It could be one of our own who wind up dead by an overdose or whatever else they “knew”.
You are correcter 1newcomer1 ! It is time they stand up and repel the others ,either by voteing them out or to testify against them after they see that an arrest has been made.Time is on the crooks side there.That plus they expect to have the same hush hush going on that has gone on for 75 years or more.
