ANOTHER shooting in Harrisburg?? Yep, looks that way.Posted by Jack Howser on Wednesday, October 12th, 2011 @ 1:36 pm.
We’re hearing from sources, one of them official, that there has been yet another shooting in the ‘burg.
Because our source is really busy with the matter, we can’t get him to tell us any more right now. So we thought we might run it past you, our readers, to see if you know anything else about it. We are in the midst of a very time-consuming project and about 50 percent done with it, with the usual family things that have to get done on a week off…so if you know anything, please feel free to post it here! Let’s see who has their ear to the ground on what’s going on in Saline County….be a minion….tell us what you know!!
Our source is still busy….so here’s what the Harrisburg paper (with whom HPD chief Bob Smith will actually speak, as opposed to what he’ll let US know….but we’re probably set to do something about that) has…it’s not much, but it’s something:
Harrisburg Police are investigating the shooting of a residence at 505 N. Jackson St. at about 4:50 a.m. today.
Chief Bob Smith said rounds were fired into the house from the rear and no one was injured.
Smith, Sgt. Todd Cavender and Assistant Chief David Morris walked the scene hoping to pinpoint the location from which the shots were fired, called Illinois State Police Crime Scene services and left the residence to allow Mykkandha Moss who lives at the house to get her child ready for school, Smith said.
Saline County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted at the scene early this morning.
Police have been following leads generated through the day.
So. A house was shot. Ouch.
However, one of our sources has added something that one of our Facebook friends is saying—that Deondraye Jackson, 22, most recently a grand jury indictee, might have been involved in this. We’ll continue to look into that aspect….in the meantime, just keep checking….
