The “Occupy Wall Street” movement that started a few weeks ago to bring attention to the fact that our nation is being held hostage by private banksters—the Federal Reserve, which is NOT a government institution—and that we need to be released from their hold, has been taken over by special interest leftwingnutjobs, and unfortunately, the initial message has been hopelessly lost. Like the Tea Party, which was hijacked by neo-con nutjobs just before the 2010 election and now people think wealthy corporate elitists are propping up the movement that was created to be by the people, of the people and for the people, mischaracterization is the rule of the day.
OWS had NONE of the following goals when they began protesting, but now, you google OWS and here’s what you get: the following communist plank tenets, bullshit that makes those among us who still possess common sense absolutely cringe:

Demand one: Restoration of the living wage. This demand can only be met by ending “Freetrade” by re-imposing trade tariffs on all imported goods entering the American market to level the playing field for domestic family farming and domestic manufacturing as most nations that are dumping cheap products onto the American market have radical wage and environmental regulation advantages. Another policy that must be instituted is raise the minimum wage to twenty dollars an hr.
Demand two: Institute a universal single payer healthcare system. To do this all private insurers must be banned from the healthcare market as their only effect on the health of patients is to take money away from doctors, nurses and hospitals preventing them from doing their jobs and hand that money to wall st. investors.
Demand three: Guaranteed living wage income regardless of employment.
Demand four: Free college education.
Demand five: Begin a fast track process to bring the fossil fuel economy to an end while at the same bringing the alternative energy economy up to energy demand.
Demand six: One trillion dollars in infrastructure (Water, Sewer, Rail, Roads and Bridges and Electrical Grid) spending now.
Demand seven: One trillion dollars in ecological restoration planting forests, reestablishing wetlands and the natural flow of river systems and decommissioning of all of America’s nuclear power plants.
Demand eight: Racial and gender equal rights amendment.
Demand nine: Open borders migration. anyone can travel anywhere to work and live.
Demand ten: Bring American elections up to international standards of a paper ballot precinct counted and recounted in front of an independent and party observers system.
Demand eleven: Immediate across the board debt forgiveness for all. Debt forgiveness of sovereign debt, commercial loans, home mortgages, home equity loans, credit card debt, student loans and personal loans now! All debt must be stricken from the “Books.” World Bank Loans to all Nations, Bank to Bank Debt and all Bonds and Margin Call Debt in the stock market including all Derivatives or Credit Default Swaps, all 65 trillion dollars of them must also be stricken from the “Books.” And I don’t mean debt that is in default, I mean all debt on the entire planet period.
Demand twelve: Outlaw all credit reporting agencies.
Demand thirteen: Allow all workers to sign a ballot at any time during a union organizing campaign or at any time that represents their yeah or nay to having a union represent them in collective bargaining or to form a union.
These demands will create so many jobs it will be completely impossible to fill them without an open borders policy.

So. For those of us in Realville, here’s why most of these are just so insane and out there that they would never, ever work, even in the most idealistic of societies.
Demand one: Absolutely we should end free trade. Absolutely tariffs should be imposed. But as long as corporate elitists, propped up by THE FEDERAL RESERVE, have enough money to pay lobbyists to go lobby congress and get ‘their’ bills passed, those who pay will be those who play. So, IDEA: outlaw lobbyists, and force our stupid representatives to pay attention to WE THE PEOPLE. And as regards raising the minimum wage to $20 an hour….what the fuck are you people smoking? How many people do you think the local McD’s is going to be able to hire at that? Oh wait, they can hire all of YOU….and you and your buddies can just pay $16 for a quarter-pounder. Yup. Problem solved.
Demand two: Sure. Make EVERYTHING in your lives government-run. Including healthcare.You all DO believe in population control, don’t you…?..because you want us all to die while waiting to see government doctors. Go talk to veterans at Marion’s VA Hospital if you don’t believe me.

Demand three: Living wage income? What IS that, anyway? I’ll tell you what “living wage” income is: you sit down and figure out what expenses you will have in all areas of your life: Utilities, car payment, fuel, insurance, clothing, food, housing, medicines, incidentals. Then you find the best job you can and you work. Hard. And if that’s not enough, you find a part-time job, and you work. Hard. You don’t party, you don’t do dope, you don’t have git-togethers where you end up going out and spray-paint rail cars, you don’t breed if you can’t afford a kid. You don’t get your damn tatts and body piercings and ear gauging and you don’t spend $90 to make your hair look like you spilled bleach on it, then decided to pour Kool Aid on your head. You use SENSE. You establish yourself with some goals and you do what it takes to work toward them without anything else getting in the way. If you can’t do that, you deserve to starve. What you DON’T deserve to do is take MY money that I work hard for every day so you can sit around on your deadbeat ass and tell me about your fucking DEMANDS.

Demand four: You want to go to college for free? Here’s a tip: GET STRAIGHT A’s IN SCHOOL. DON’T GET IN TROUBLE. DON’T LOOK OR ACT LIKE A WEIRDO. APPLY FOR EVERY AVAILABLE SCHOLARSHIP. Otherwise, get a part-time job and work your way through like the rest of us did. It taught us all kinds of things…like a work ethic, which was more valuable than a degree when we got out of college.
Demand five: You want “alternative fuels”? Make straight A’s in school, get your scholarships, improve your work ethic, and DEVELOP THEM YOURSELF. Don’t DEMAND it from those of us who have done all the things you apparently WON’T do, but want given to you.
Demand six: One trillion dollars? What are you expecting the local, state and federal governments to use to pay for this with? YOU’RE not willing to work….so why should the REST of us who ARE be FORCED to cough it up because YOU want it? Morons.

Demand seven: A) go to your local nursery, every last damn one of you, and buy ten trees. B) plant them. C) Hope that when those nuclear power plants are “decommissioned”, YOUR power isn’t cut off, because you’ll be cutting down your trees to stay warm.
Demand eight: We already have em. Moving on.
Demand nine: Open borders? Then that proves it: There ARE no “terrorists.” Geez, you people ARE insane, aren’t you?
Demand ten: Just about the only sane thing you’ve come up with. Guess you have to drop a couple of good ideas in there, just to keep the masses off-balance. OF COURSE we should return to the paper ballot system. So why don’t you start working on something like that instead of making the next demand, which is….
Demand eleven: Debt forgiveness? You know, on a global scale, that’s known by the legal term of DEBT REPUDIATION. And when countries repudiate debt to other countries (which happens when their states and citizens repudiate the debt they owe, to the country or to each other, which is basically just a huge bankruptcy), that is disastrous. Do you WANT China to own everything outright as opposed to covertly, like they do now? Oh wait, you’re communist…of course you do.
Demand twelve: Sure. I mean, if no one owes anyone any money, why should there ever again be any credit reporting agencies? o_0 You people are lunatics.
Demand thirteen: Stop even SUPPORTING unions. I mean, why would you want a UNION? You don’t want to work anyway. Are you talking about the worker drones? They WANT to work. They don’t WANT UNIONS. Unions are there to politicize a segment of industry—auto workers, garment workers, plumbers, electricians—and slip the dues to the political party that favors their voting bloc. Work to get rid of them, OWS hijackers, not force them to do things your way.
Note that last remark: These demands will create so many jobs it will be completely impossible to fill them without an open borders policy. This, above everything else they’re yammering about, should prove that these people belong in straightjackets being injected with a nice large bolus of thorazine every so many hours.
Let’s examine this:
Raise minimum wage to $20 an hour—no one will be able to afford employees, but small business owners wouldn’t be able to compete with larger business owners and would go out of business or raise the cost of their goods or services beyond what even $20-an-hour wage-earner could afford, check;
Single healthcare payer system—destroys the private sector insurance industry, which negatively impacts the healthcare industry, removing jobs from both private and public sector, check;
‘Living wage’ is too high, see problem one, check;
Free college education—means competitiveness in school is gone, teachers get lackadaisical, no one excels, nothing competitive in the workforce, no one gets hired, check;
‘Alternative fuels’—difficult to use on a large scale, destroys jobs in the coal mines, destroys jobs at clean-coal power stations that are coming online, destroys drilling and thus lucrative oil field job, check;
Pouring government money into public works means taking more tax dollars from those of us who work, many of us who employ people, meaning if we have less money to pay employees, we may have to cut payroll, meaning job loss, check;
Decommissioning nuclear power plants—this after getting rid of coal-fired power plants where the nuke power plant workers could potentially go after their job loss, so job loss all the way around, check;
Open borders—which means the majority of the population will be illegals who will work for half your precious minimum wage, meaning driving down pay for everyone, as no one will hire a person for a “living wage” because the mexcrement will work for lots less, driving down employment overall, check;
Debt forgiveness means banks decimation, even small, locally-owned banks, which are the lifeblood of small communities, meaning no expansion in those communities, meaning failing economies on the local level, meaning utter job loss, check.
Congrats, OWS hijackers! You're now about as useful as Tea Party hijackers like the Koch brothers!!
Yep. Sounds to me like you’re all about the destruction of the American economy, OWS hijackers. Congratulations. You are too stupid to live. So why don’t you stop doing one or the other, and/or get up from your fake peaceable assembly, and leave it to the people who know what the REAL problems are with this country…..It’s corporatism, not capitalism, and until you grow up and understand that, you’re part of the problem, not part of the solution.

Maybe we will have us a good old fashioned uprising where people dress up and go fight for what is rightfully theirs…sounds a little far fetched at the moment but perhaps once they get organized they will get at least half of the standard wage and perhaps it will encourage others to show their opinion of the government and how poorly they are operating things on all levels! I may not totally agree with what this particular group of protesters are doing but I do believe it is time for a change.
O.F. okay, let them organize and strike for half of the standard wage. So, whose wage do we use as the standard, the UAW? Let’s see, that is $71 an hour with benefits so lets make it $35 an hour for McDonalds workers. So long $1 double cheeseburgers…
The Left is staging these protests all over the country, a friend of mine in Houston went to their’s yesterday as he is a IBEW member (Int’l Brotherhood Electrical Workers) who makes right at $30 an hour plus benefits when he is working but since Texas is a Right to Work state, many companies are going non-union simply because they cannot afford to pay a bunch of spoiled, overpaid, titty-babies who brag about how much they were able to goof off on the job.
Dennis, It is quite common to ask for more than you receive! Saying that let me say this. If you want to get $600 for something you are selling you price it for $800 and work your way down. You wouldn’t go asking $450 for something that is clearly able to sell for $600. Do you follow me? I know it will cause some inflation and perhaps some of or all of their requests are far reaching if not impossible to attain. When a County office holder prepares a budget do they ask for exactly what they need or do they ask for more than what they need in hopes they will get pretty close to what they need for a Fiscal Year? I think we both know that answer and if you think a county board is hard on a county office holder, just deal with the Federal Government on financial matters. It would be fair to say they wont even see any change and if they do acquire some change it wont amount to 25% of what they are asking for. If that occurs it could drive minimum wage up by as much as a buck or two. I really dont think these guys and gals are organized to take on a fight with the NYSE or Washington Politicians. So the fear level is low in my opinion. I am not saying they will give up or not but I am willing to bet if the Feds feel threatened first they will resort to arrests then perhaps after a while they will give them a few small items in order to shut them up. I really dont think it will affect the price of your $1 cheeseburger at McDonalds or even the price of beans in China! If we were to cut some of the un-needed state and federal level jobs that are just yes men positions then perhaps it would solve a crisis that has driven these people to protest. Perhaps if we would go fight a war and not pussyfoot around for 10+ years we would not have $4 Trillion added to our national deficit. No disrespect to the men and women in uniform but this war is way overdue for an ending. Either blow the fuckers off the map or come home with our tail between our legs. I know what they did over here was wrong and unacceptable but if you are going to fight or wage a war then go in with all you got kick some butt and get your boys and girls home safely. Now back to the protesters. I may agree or disagree with their demands but I feel they have some courage to stand up for what they believe in and there should be more in this country that did this. I believe I heard a comment today that said this. Government is a participant sport not a spectator sport. Saying that I will say if they do some good for all of us then great, but change always has risks, but sometimes those risks are worth it while others are not! Time will tell. I dont think what they are doing is going to cause you or me to starve to death or even go hungry. If so we still have Obama to take care of us as he will always print up some more bills and give it to those who either dont work or to those who need a bailout (GM) and (the solar panel company which filed bankruptcy on the feds)! Fact is we need a change and maybe these (idiots) as they are being perceived will inspire the smarter ones to take a stand before this country falls to pieces more than it already has! I think we stand together on the illegal immigration problems as well as the financial and job situation, I am ready to see an improvement on this as much as anyone and these guys may or may not be the answer but they are doing more than talking about it and for that I do admire that much about them!
Oh and one more thought…I would rather see an employee who works make $30 an hour more than I would like to see a CEO, bankrupt the Company he or she represents and walk away with $100 million+/- while the employees are left with nothing, not even a job or a pension. The CEO should not make a damn dime before any and all bills are paid as the CEO is one of the few who can or should be able to see the company’s financial matters/situation at any given moment. Thats another issue all together but lets face it those guys (CEO’s) are the real titty babies and its time to straighten out the problems at the top of all American and Foreign Corporations who operate in this country!
I read a story this evening on one of the Occupy Wall Street protesters. He was giving an interview about why he was pissed off at Wall Street.
It seems he borrowed $87,000 in student loans to get an education to become a printer repairman and now can’t get a job so he travelled from Arizona to New York to protest.
My first thought was “Here is where two fools met, first him for spending $87,000 on training that he probably could have acquired had he taken a job at a place that repairs printers, on the job training. Next, whatever government agency that loaned this moron $87,000 when the training was available elsewhere at a much more reasonable cost.
BTW, who paid this guy’s way to New York from Arizona if he is so destitute? Something was fishy about this guy’s whole story.
This whole “Occupy” thing is part of the union’s and the Left’s class warfare thing, don’t let them sucker you on this.

If these are morons it will be proven as it appears you have already done. It could also inspire someone with more sense to attack the government in a way that might make life better for us. Although I am not promoting such a thing and have no knowledge that a legit one exists at this point, we all know when a road is being worked up it would be a rough road for a while but if some group were to ever form it might make a smoother road in the future. I am not a good forecaster but if I was any kind of a betting man I would bet that some group forms within the next year or possibly two years and tries to make a huge change. Wonder what Nancy and Dingy Harry would say about illegals if states would put the illegals on a bus and take them DC and their hometown neighborhoods and dump them all off in front of their houses and tell them “YOU TAKE CARE OF THEM, YOU FEED THEM, HOUSE THEM AND LET THEM BREAK INTO YOUR HOME”! I think I was misunderstood. I am simply saying we need a change, whether or not this group is the way we need to go is another question. The fact still remains that instead of just talking about something they are trying to make it happen. That is the only part of their movement I admire. I don’t think they are approaching the issue correctly but they are trying, they need proper guidance and I hope they use their ambition for the best interests of this country!
They showed the Occupy Wall Street protesters on TV this morning when they were just getting up and moving around. Every one of them had a styrofoam cup of coffee. I had to wonder if that was SEIU that delivered that to them.
The other day I saw one interviewed and he was saying “We want all of the wealth distributed equally, not just to the 1% but to everyone!” I thought, well, there it is, Socialism. These folks would have loved East Germany in the 60s.
I remember being in Germany in 1992 and asking a man from the Western part of Germany what he thought of the former East Germans that were re-unifying with the West after the Berlin Wall came down. He said “They are all so lazy, they will only do what is the bare minimum to get by on and no more.” This is what happens under Socialism/Communism, people lose their incentive to become something, to improve their situation, because under that system, no matter what you do, you get an equal share as the next guy.
These people who are clamoring for Socialism simply do not look down the road far enough.
