Shooting in Harrisburg Sunday night confirmed DRUG RELATED
HARRISBURG—Sources have confirmed that a shooting Sunday night on Granger Street in Harrisburg is drug related, despite later mainstream media reports, quoting HPD police chief Bob Smith, that it had only to do with robbery.
Shots were reported fired Sunday night on South Granger at about 3 a.m.
We stand by our sources who have told us that the incident is drug-related (this coming from police sources); the victim was not seriously wounded.
It’s the understanding of our sources that the victim in the case is one Mario Godsey, 47, of Harrisburg, who has only a slight criminal record in the area, according to our brief sweep through online records, but there may be more. His relationship to Miranda Murphy, 27, who lives at the residence, is not clear. There were SEVERAL people in the area when police arrived.
Our sources say there are no suspects at this time, but Harrisburg PD’s Curt Hustedde is on it, so it probably won’t be long before we know the full story. All that’s being released at this time is that the suspects were black and wore some sort of ‘masks’ on their faces, and took an undetermined amount of cash and an XBox. We’ll see if this gets less vague, or if, because we broke the story early, they’ll be like Lawrenceville and not let anyone know the details of the investigation so that no one in the public can come forward and help.
