Flood 2011: Gallatin Schools, Junction, kids’ sandbagging efforts
GALLATIN CO.—The high school (and even some middle school) students were hard at work yesterday at Gallatin County Schools in Junction, filling and tying sandbags, loading trailers and helping with any other aspect of flood protection that they could. This was an amazing effort and shows the quality of people in Gallatin County, who can come together for the good of each other without complaint and with a supreme effort!
Kids, be proud of yourselves.
Parents, you are fortunate to have such awesome kids.
Everyone: New Haven needs help sandbagging if anyone can make it over there.
Good luck to all in South Counties and ALL flood-affected counties. If they blow the Birds Point levee in Missouri, we’ll let you know, although if the water starts dropping, you might be able to figure it out on your own! It may happen later today….be watching.

So proud of these kids. They have worked so hard.
These kids are doing a truly awesome, selfless HUGE job, for not only their parents and themselves, but their community. I honestly think a lot of adults in this nation could learn a very good lesson from these kids! Kudos to all of you kids and your parents for doing such a fine job in teaching and instilling morals and values in you for humanity! You are ALL showing the good qualities you have in you. I pray for your safety and well-being, along with receding water levels so you can get back to a normal life without the fear of losing your towns, family members and all of your memories!!! May God Bless & keep you for your hard work. YOU’RE AWESOME!!!
