As of this morning its still riseing!45 south is down off the highway after IDOT put lighted signs up yesterday.
Moonrner, any chance you could get pics of the lighted signs? We’d like to have one for the print version….let us know.
Believe it or not, there is a pond in that back yard. Haven’t seen it since Monday morning. Yikes.

Yesterday afternoon 4 kids decided to go for a swim down/bike ride down Tuller Road and 2 members of the Fire dept went out in a boat and got the kids!! Only in Carrier Mills
I have a pic on my computer. I drove by on my way to town takin pics. Came back from the burg and there was kids in the water, I couldn’t believe they were venturing off that far.
Hey…send us that pic, RiverRat. We’d love to have that. An identical thing happened in Lawrence County during the June 2008 flood. One or two of the local rags had the pic of the kids frolicking right before the DNR officials got out there and yanked their carcasses into their john boat. I don’t know why they didn’t take a pic of the DNR guys PUTTING the kids in the boat, but maybe that was too insensitive to the rotten yard apes’ parents.
Seen a lady in town today and she says the deparment issued each homeowner 10 bags each and that was it.
