Here ya go, ‘rado….just because we can….

Rocky "Ogre" James

Billy "ass" Bradley

I had to post these….we’re too tired to do coverage of the Eldorado city council meeting last night, and we hear the local paper did a whitewash job on the corruption rampant there…figures, those people are so far up Rocky James’ ass he sees George in the morning when he shaves….

Rocky "Ogre" James

We’ve found out quite a bit more about what goes on during election time in Eldorado….we’ve also found out that the stolen Jeep Billy Bradley was in possession of has mysteriously disappeared…would this be courtesy Freeman STD’s buddy Jason Dunn of SOSP? Bet on it.

Billy "ass" Bradley

When our brains are functioning at capacity, we’ll bring you all this and more….click in often, there’s a lot going on during election season.

Including some really revealing photos courtesy our artiste of the above ‘shopped pics…

I like your post and your paper,But i dont think its a good ideal to make a mochary out of someone. I think thats not in good taste.MOP!

  2. Whipper

In regards to the Jeep that “mysteriously disappeared”– Not so much courtesy of SOS Officer Jason Dunn… More likely DUTY of law enforcement. The stolen Jeep was released to the registered owner shortly after its recovery. My buddy Jason can’t make an official statement to the press (without permission)… and since I don’t work for the Secretary of State, I thought I’d throw my 2 cents in. I know, I know… it’s not gonna get a zillion web hits but sometimes scandals come to a close.
Thanks & have a good day.

    • Yes, Whip…we do all kinds of things for zillions of hits. Including the most simplistic of matters, such as disseminating information as we come upon it until someone clears it up….like you just did.

  3. Moonrner53

They cant help it if they were born that way!

  6. goneforgood

  7. Old Fart

I know Jason Dunn, SOS License Investigator, and I can assure you that in no way would Jason do anything that was not in accordance with the law. He’s one of the finest young men I have ever had the pleasure to know. He will always put his job first in any situation and do it right, no matter who happens to be involved. And you can take that info to the bank. ;-)

  9. Hardluck Hannah

Good morning, Ghost. Had your coffee yet? Want to have another? Might as well, since I’m here anyway?

  10. SouthernILGirl

    You and that ghost, Hannah!!

  11. skool mom

Thanks Whipper for clearing that up about Jason. I believe he is always above board(good character).

  12. Hardluck Hannah

I know, SouthernILGirl, sometimes I get the feeling that ghost is playing favorites with me. Hope Sweets and eileen’s feelings aren’t hurt. You know what they say girls, when you’re hot…you’re hot. ;-)

  13. I am compelled to jump in here.

We don’t know Jason Dunn. But we do know SOSP. We had to deal with them extensively through one of our very early investigations in 2002-03. We came away from that experience with the belief that they’re as worthless as tits on a boar. We don’t need this many layers of law enforcement. Something is either a crime or it’s not. We pay levels of police (municipal, county, state) to handle crimes. SOSP are little more than code enforcers who are (in some cases, stupidly) allowed to carry guns & have arrest powers. They are overkill and more often than not, impede investigations into serious crimes (auto theft) because they are seeking their own glory, not trying to obtain justice for someone.

I can’t go into what happened in 2002-03 because it would be too long. Best to read our early papers if you really want to know. But SOSP, to us, is just another DCFS. Our state is broke and those two agencies are part of the reason why—excessive spending for double-doing that gets nowhere.

Add to that the association Dunn has with Freeman STD (former ofcr with rado PD) & I have to ask what is behind all this Jason-Dunn’-a-GREAT-dude! thing…there’s just something about it that’s bothering me. I’m sure Hannah will set me straight…but I really am curious about all this.

  14. Hardluck Hannah

Ang…I agree about the double-doing thingy and the waste of taxpayers money in that area. You are absolutely right about Hannah gonna set you straight about Jason Dunn too. E-mail coming your way later this evening…have to leave for a meeting now. I’ll add, if those License Inspector jobs are to remain, Jason will know that job inside out and do it according to the book. As we know, there’s good and bad in those who wear those white and black hats. Jason looks you in the eye when he’s talking to you and his word is his bond. More later.

  15. Hardluck Hannah

Hey Ang, want to have a cup of tea with me and the ghost. I think he likes you too. ;-)

  16. skool mom

I have had the opportunity to observe Jason Dunn during an investigation. He handled himself and his position with the upmost respect and genuine concern. Having dealt with local police previously, the case would not have received the attention it deserved.Jason did an excellent job and the person was found guilty. I can not speak for other SOS, he is the only one I know. If I’m ever under investigation I sure hope Jason is not on the case!

  17. CMHS1980

While I can’t argue for the usefulness of the SOSP I can put my name on the list of people taking up for Jason. I have known him for many years and he is a fine person.

  18. well

CMHS I can tell you must know something about law enforcement.

  19. CMHS1980

@Well….Not that much really.. Just have a lot of friends that are cops. They are just like any other group of people, some good, some not so good and some should be in jail.

  20. bbboomer

SOS officers also go around to car dealerships motorcycle dealerships and the like and go through there records to make sure that they are sending in state taxes and getting the purchasers there titles and not just pocketing tax and title fees. There have been many instances of consumers not getting titles, mostly dealers that are in dire straits, and some that are just greedy. If you had bought a vehicle and could not get a title, you would be happy that SOS officers are around.

    • Meat: The last we knew of, the Illinois Liquor Commission did that job, and enlisted the aid of ISP and agents from the Department of Revenue the last time they did that in Bridgeport and Lawrenceville (we got the complete lowdown when Max Schauf’s place underwent this).

@bbboomer: Except we followed a story of a guy in Mt. Carmel, Kevin Williams in 2005, who was getting banks to pay out loans on vehicles being traded in at his car dealership, and SOSP had NOTHING to do with that. The local cops for whatever reason conducted the investigation and to our knowledge (and it was a well-documented case), SOSP didn’t do a damn thing…and it was all in their field of expertise, open titles, you name it; people were calling us telling us about their titles not being good, and we sent them to SOSP (reluctantly) and they did nothing. One of the people involved in it went federal because the loans were going across state lines. Then there’s Michael Allison’s original case in Bridgeport where his vehicles were taken from him by Max and Co. and Allison asked the SOSP to track down where they went; they wouldn’t. In Grayville, there was a guy just last year who was pretending to be a car lot or some such thing so he could run his own vehicles through body repair work and claim it on insurance; again, we advised the people who were victims of this scheme to contact SOSP. Nothing. And then there was the original story, where SOSP agents were being used to harass a poor guy with an antique car lot, all the while the guy who was making complaints was conducting much the same thing as the guy in Grayville, ripping off insurance companies through his body shop. I can’t begin to recount the number of times we’ve run across stuff about SOSP and they’re just like DCFS—there when you don’t need them harassing you over nambypamby bullshit, and ignoring REAL problems that are easily solved with a little inspection. One SOSP ‘officer’, Dewayne Buretz, was the biggest pain in our ass I’ve ever come across. It’s great if there’s a pencil pusher to go through records and make sure titles are in order and money is being turned in for taxes, but for god’s sake don’t give that pencil pusher a badge, gun and squad car, because they get a god complex and start abusing it.

  21. I think the layers go even one deeper. Isn’t Excise a dept. of SOSP ? They go around sampling the booze bottles at bars to make sure it’s not being watered down, checking cert labels on gas pumps to ensure they’re calibrated right, and for tip buckets and electronic games at bars too. Pretty sure Excise does those things as a dept. of SOSP.

  22. Yep you’re right on that. Dad had a bar in Palestine years ago and I remember them coming in checking bottles and such but it doesn’t seem like that would fall under SOSP. I was thinking Excise was a dept. of their own or a division of some other dept. back then, maybe they cut ‘em or changed how they operate.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but here goes. Sarah Cummins is one of the finnest ppl I have known. I have known her since 1975. She ran the lot a burger in Eldorado with her husband Jim Cummins. Two fine ppl. Myself and my husband Think a lot of Sarah and her late husband. When my husband needed extra work Jim and Sarah put him to work on weekends, And I know some of the jobs they could have done but they were trying to help us. That is the kind of ppl they were and Sarah is. If I lived in Eldorado I be glad to vote for Sarah. As for Rocky James , my husband always considered him a friend but now he seems to think he is too good for old friends. And Bill Bradley , no comment….

  24. RED84

I agree that Jason is one of the most honorable men that I have ever met and i have know him since i was about 10 years old. Just because someone is friends with another person doesn’t mean that they have the same opinions/views or for that matter morals. I would also like to say that I’m not into politics so I don’t know/care what the Rocky and Billy bashing is really all about. But eh I guess it’s something to talk about… From where I stand all 3 men have never been anything but honest and courteous to me (but that’s just my opinion, I’m not trying to ruffle any feathers) 8)

  25. bbboomer

I am not going to try to change your mind about SOS officers, and I am not familiar with the problems those people had. I was just stating what I know through my own experiences. I was in the motorcycle business for 20 odd years, and I do know that there was one particular officer that would come around and check our books to make sure odometer readings were correct, and that we had certificates of origin that matched up with the machines we had in stock, and things like that. I don’t know if you are saying this Max fellow stoled someones vehicles or what. I can only speak about things I personally know about. But I do know that in our case they mainly wanted to know that legitimate dealers who sell and take trade ins on said new vehicle get tax monies and title work done correctly and within the law.

  26. bbboomer

Crap, scratch the “were” between title work and done correctly in my last sentence please and thank you :oups:

  27. bbboomer

    Bless you my dear man!

  28. bbboomer

Oh, and might I add. God forbid there be ONE discrepancy! That man would have us sweating blood!

  29. RED84

Thanks for being understanding Jack.. I’m thankful that people understand that not everyone’s opinions are the same… some people are very certain that what they believe is the truth (and most certainly try to sway other to believe the same) and I’m just glad I was able to say that my opinion of the gentlemen is not the same as yours/others :)And if you DO get to know Jason in ANY way i’m almost sure he’ll prove to you what we have all said here… :)

  30. Made my day

I love these pic’s! Most laughter I have had today. These two guys have had it coming for a while :)

  31. Old Fart

    Hey jack,
do you think we could get something similar to this for ole daryl donjon not to be confused with donjuan

  32. Old Fart

I culd prob get u a pic I will see what I can do and to answer your question im not good with typing much less photo shop lol

  33. Old Fart

    Jack,
check your email just sent you two pics hope you can use it somehow he’s no better than rick colgan only problem is he is a little more respected but the law is the law and the board was swayed to elude the membership which is why u didn’t hear about it until it was signed off on we need members to show up and vote this is a one shot at saving our a$$ well at least on our utility bill

  34. Old Fart

Guess you got your buttons. I told harry tto tell jack and ang this was from old fart. Harry said what did u say so I repeated it he said ok I will tell him

    • Ang got em. She was just on a time schedule and couldn’t stay long, but we got em now. March 25 is on the schedule. We were talking about your cause today and decided we need to get with you. I’ll have Ang call you this week and set up something for the following week probably if that’s okay.

  35. Old Fart

That is fine jack im just worried that many on a fixed income wont be able to afford the bill and also the boards illegal move of sellin assets but yes call whenever u wish im up late and up early so either way is fine by me

  36. Old Fart

    Hey Jack,
Have you any word about a shooting in wayne city? As I have heard at about 1:30pm saturday march 12 someone was shot on section line road east of hwy 242.

    • Old Fart: Haven’t heard anything. We’ve been out of the area and Ang left her phone home, so we weren’t even keeping up with things online. We don’t have a car scanner anymore….keep us posted, okay?

  37. Old Fart

Alright I’d say listen to WFIW at either 6:15 or 7:15am in the mornin. I’ve heard it was Randall Talbert that was killed and as rumors fly it was a possible suicide but I can’t confirm that at this point so I will keep ya posted and as soon as I hear a message will come to ya.

  38. Old Fart

Not sure about that I will ask once I find out which township official was you thinkin of him being or being related to?

  39. Old Fart

Sorry I forgot to use a period or a question mark on that last one :)

  40. Old Fart

Alright cuz chances are if the last name is the same they will be related. Tried callin the radio station a while ago no ones home tho…surprise surprise! The lights are on but no bodys home. Kinda makes me think of a certain castrated news man that is employeed there

  41. Old Fart

    Jack,
While I’m able to confirm a shooting and the name is Randall Talbert I just heard there was a fight/argument between him and his wife sometime before the incident don’t really know for sure but sources close to the area say it was suicide and that the ISP crimescene unit was converged there yesterday and possibly today as well but they haven’t released anything officially yet but that’s pretty much all I know and if there is a Talbert on the berry TWP board he or she would be related this young man was believed to be in his 30s and had four children

  42. Sweet&Sour

Jack, am I still considered one of your angels? Life is a long hard road, as you well know and I’m not quite running the marathon yet, but I will!

  43. Hardluck Hannah

Hey Sweets, you’re tough as a pine knot and you know it. So hang tough, gal. And don’t be a stranger on here.

Jack, you know that ghost is a fickle one. Just when a gal thinks she’s won his heart…poof…there he goes again. ;-)

  44. Hardluck Hannah

Now now, Jack…don’t be trying to second me.

And what have I told you about using those big words. polygamistpoltergeist. Some couldn’t even pronounce that one, let alone know what it is. Maybe a dash inserted to make it read polygamist-poltergeist would make it a little more clear.

I can’t imagine why a ghost would want to collect a harem of women. But hey, when there are three Angels…what’s a ghost to do? ;-)

  45. Sweet&Sour

HHANNAH, You are too funny! Thank you for the laugh, God knows I needed it. ;)

  46. Sweet&Sour

Jack, Thank you! I can not even put into words yet how much I appreciate you and Angela. Ang has been sooo wonderful when she and I have talked. Your comment also made me laugh, but I’ve just been logging on and off here lately. I’ll get back to myself. I’m working on it really hard. I am glad I bring you a lot of clicks though. :)
