Shooting reported at South Main in Harrisburg; VIDEO
HARRISBURG—A fatal shooting on South Main Street in Harrisburg is currently under investigation.
Initial reports had it that a man shot himself in his home after an attempted execution of a search warrant was served there, but we’re now learning that there was no warrant; county officials were merely acting on a tip about items in the home when they traveled to 1106 South Main to speak with a resident there.
The man was formerly a Harrisburg dispatcher; he was booted from there down to corrections at the Saline County Detention Center, but hasn’t been there for quite some time (at least two years if our sources are accurate).
The items in question were apparently stolen, and suspected of being in the garage at the location.
The suspect apparently allowed officers access to the premises. However, sources on-scene indicate, when officers went out to search the garage, the suspect shot himself.
Others presumably from the household (or maybe just from the neighborhood) arrived very shortly after 5. They were seen crying and very upset.
Items seized at the garage of the location appeared to be on this trailer being driven from the scene; they are reported to be tires, pipes and other items
The name is being withheld until notification of the rest of the family.

We can’t get a specific address. So we don’t know how far on South Main at all. Sorry, it’s kinda dropped off right now…we’ll get it as soon as we can!
Daily Register is reporting that it is at 1106 S Main and there is a report of coroner being there and shots having been fired.
The guy shot himself and the neighbors say he was very strange. Not sure of anything else, it looks like a sad case of a suicide.
A little more than that, I’m afraid….

Yeah that’s just what we’re getting at the scene….lots of talk…we’re awaiting official confirmation of that and a couple of things that are equally interesting, but not gravely serious….we’ll get it straight pretty soon….

That poor family. I hope they are able to comfort each other, suicide is so horrible for those left behind.

His name has been released by his ex-wife on facebook. Supposedly he is involved in the theft out at SIC, is this correct? If so, its still very sad.
We are hearing that he was indeed allegedly involved in a theft at SIC…we’re working sources on that right now.
Ok so they searched the house then went to search the garage then he shot himself? Sounds to me like they didn’t do a very good job searching if he still had the gun. Hell he could of shot the cops doing the searching.

Nope not saying that yet just something i noticed. But all i got to say to every 1 is dirty cops alway vet caught they make think they are smarter them fort and martin but is it really worth losing everything you have. So you better straight n up or be ready to get a mew boyfriend

It was the case with Martin and now that Martin has been outed as the ringleader by traditional media, those who used to have the run of his county are no longer publicly doing that which they used to do. If this example holds true, are the baddies getting away with things under Clore’s watch for a similar reason, or is it coincidence. It is an observational conjecture that I have made based on proximity of cases that have made papers recently. Additionally, I would like to state, as a warning to bad cops, that all bad cops will one day be caught. Fort and Martin serve as shining examples that no one is above the law. Be forewarned that should you feel that you are indeed above the law and smart enough not to get caught that you will lose everything and be sodomozed once you are incarcerated.
