Jared Loughner, darling of the wacky left
Well, we weren’t going to do it, since we’ve got so much going on in our little corner of hell aka southeastern Illinois, but what you think about this situation compels us, and we really want to hear your opinion.
This here is Jared Loughner, soon-to-be darling of the liberal left if any of their agendas get forwarded because of what he is alleged to have done on Saturday: Opened fire on a crowd during a meet-and-greet at a Tucson, Arizona grocery store for a congresswoman, Gabrielle Giffords. When the gunman was done, 18 people were shot, six of them fatally, including a federal judge and a nine-year-old girl who DOB was 9.11.01. Creepy, but heart-wrenching as well.
Giffords remains hospitalized following a gunshot wound to the head. Loughner has sealed his own doom by proclaiming this was a deliberate act, as Giffords, a Democrat, was his U.S. representative to Congress, and he had it in for her.
So while all the commentators and pundits are dissecting Loughner and his 22 years on this earth, those of us who don’t have TV and were too busy with, well….a LIFE to be caught up in the obsession of the latest nut-case are able to see the forest for the trees because the trees aren’t really in the way after all.
People don’t need to be obsessed with this freak.
People need to be watchful of what’s going to happen BECAUSE of this freak and his freakish actions, the actions, not of a nut who listened to too much talk radio or clicked on Stormfront too many times, but of a nut who was constantly in a state of rage (“angry at the world”) and was “whacked out on drugs all the time.”
What is going to happen?
A crackdown on weapons of any and all kinds, and a forwarding of the gun controllers’ agenda?
A diminishing of logical voices on the airwaves (“talk radio”), because it’s “hate speech”?
How about the end of “face-to-face” meet and greets with out U.S representatives, further widening the gap between “us,” the little people who aren’t ‘leaders,’ and “them,” federal employees whom many of us see as ‘elitists’?
Maybe all of them.
And don’t think it’s extreme; and don’t think it’s not on ‘their’ agenda, because it is. It’s documented. It’s in a file somewhere, tucked away, ready and waiting for just the right opportunity because you should never let a good crisis go to waste, you know.
So let’s hear your opinions…because we’re just waiting for the backlash of this, and we’re waiting to see if those of us with common sense (the three C’s: common sense, Constitutional conservatives) can prevail against the socialists who are trying to really widen the divide, and separate us from what it is that once made this country great, but is quickly diminishing with each ‘crisis’ and ‘disaster’ that they step in and ‘save us’ from.
Go to, readers.

Am I imagining that the Liberals slant things? Today I took note of a couple of Hollywood movies that were both made in 2008. One was “W” which did it’s very best to make a sitting American president out to be a total idiot. The other was named “Che” which did it’s best to portray a Communist revolutionary as a fine fellow of great character.
With this sort of influence, it is no wonder that some of the more easily-influenced people in this county have the ideas that they do.
@DJB…I watched “W” and was totally appalled by the whole production. No matter what some may think of him now, he was the President of the United States and to degrade the man in such a fashion, to me, is utterly asinine.
I haven’t watched “Che”, or if I have, I don’t remember anything about it. So I won’t comment there. But again, Dennis, you must remember that that’s Hollywood putting out those programs/shows…and not the opinion of all Democrats. I guess I’ll just keep on trying to tell you that all Democrats don’t think or feel the way you want to accuse them of thinking and feeling. However, I don’t want to get into another debate with you about politics.
Hannah, please show me where I said anything about the Democrats. I said Liberals. The bulk of Hollywood is made up of Liberals.
I do understand that not all Democrats think that way. There are some Democrats that are called “Yellow Dog Democrats” and are Democrats because as they so often explain “Well, my daddy was a Democrat and my granddaddy was a Democrat so I am a Democrat too”. Then there are some Democrats because their unions tell them to vote Democrat because “Democrats are for the working man”. So I understand that there are many, many reasons for people to be Democrats. The Liberals are not the entire Democratic Party, I understand that if that is the point you were trying to get across to me.
@DJB…okay, I owe you an apology, Sir. You did not say anything about the Democrats by name, only the liberals as such. Thus, we agree on the fact that not all Democrats think as the true liberals due. Now see, that wasn’t so hard to do…was it? I’m the type of person that if I’m wrong, I admit it. And if I do something that I need to apologize for, I have no problem in doing so. Saying “I’m sorry” isn’t a difficult thing to do. I can do it and do it with sincerity too. A true talent of mine, no doubt.
I will also agree that a lot of Democrats have been life-long members of that particular party for the exact same reasons you have given…such as family or unions. But I also think in today’s world, as more of the younger generation is being more highly educated, a lot of their choices do not arrive from such causes. They (at least the ones that aren’t on drugs) are thinking more for themselves than from tradition. I think it’s from this very reasoning that for the first time in the history of the United States of America, you saw a black man elected as the President of the United States.
Now, Dennis, I haven’t made that comment to get your dander up either. I just think old family traditions aren’t as impressive in today’s political world as one might think. Times are changing, as I’m sure you see it every day right before your very eyes. I know I do, and believe me, I’ve seen a lot.
Hannah, I am a bit confused. The younger generation are thinking more for themselves is why a Black man was elected president?
Hmmm.. for some reason I keep thinking of MLK’s “I have a Dream” speach where he said that he dreamed of a day when his children would be judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
If Obama was judged by the content of his character he would never have been elected. In this case I believe that race (and good advertising)got him elected.
