Crazy Jim Watson didn’t read our BEWARE warning from last night….

Crazy Jim Watson and 'friend'

Look, it's Carolyn Glore McGhee at Jimbo's place!! Wonder if this was before or after the Monroe trial...she looks a lot less haggard...

Crazy Jim Watson and 'friend'...(getting a little close to the ta's there, aintcha, friend?)

SALINE CO.—Apparently, “Crazy” Jim Watson, cohort of the big-and-bad in Harrisburg (including attorney/CPA ChickenBob [Robert] Wilson, ISP’s Scott Isaacs and 118th Dist. State Rep. Brandon Phelps), neglected to read our website yesterday evening, and because he did, he missed it that Illinois State Police was holding a “Roadside Safety Check” (show-us-your-papers detention site), on the lookout for drunks on the road.

And they got Crazy Jim in the dragnet.

According to an official police source this morning, Crazy Jim Watson was popped for Driving Under the Influence after he was stopped at a roadside safety check being held in Harrisburg last night, 06.25.10.

Our source indicates that Watson was nabbed by “an out-of-town trooper” who “didn’t know who Watson was or who he was connected to” (Watson owns Poor Boys bar in the ‘burg, and operates, with Wilson, a financial/insurance business in the same town. He’s also been alleged to have more shady, less above-board businesses that he operates with said ChickenBob among others in the county, but those are merely allegations right now—but we’re checking into the latest set of rumors, don’t worry.)

Watson, we’ve been told, was hauled in to the Saline County sheriff’s department/detention center, got his mugshot taken, and was booked before posting bond and being released.

We wanted to hurry and get something online about it, even though it doesn’t incorporate a photo (because it’ll be Monday before we can get the mug), because this whole thing might be “gone” by the time Monday morning rolls around…and we want you good folks to be aware of it.

More as we get it, including perhaps a photo of Crazy Jim…mark your RSS feeds and keep checking back…

Look, it's Carolyn Glore McGhee at Jimbo's place!! Wonder if this was before or after the Monroe trial...she looks a lot less haggard...

  1. Semper Fi

What happened to the Watson story? All of a sudden it doesn’t show up on the home page!

  2. Top Cat

That is what I was looking for to Semper Fi. I didn’t know Brandon Phelps drank?

  3. Top Cat

Is this McGhee woman the one that owns or owned Fetch-it Trucking?

  4. rider

Top Cat,No it was Cindy Clore who owned Fetch.

    • Heads-up: we just received what we believe to be positive confirmation that Brandon Phelps DID NOT get cited for DUI the same night Watson did. We just want to be fair about it; we know what was going around. But a source has contacted us to say he was out of town and nowhere near the ‘fundraiser’ ISP was holding in Saline Friday night.

Just for clarification, the ISP doesn’t get any money off of traffic tickets they issue currently. A $75 ticket is broken down as to how much goes where and the State doesn’t get it. If anyone cares.

    • Not necessarily true. In each county, the funds broken down within a $75 ticket go to different, designated areas within each county, to prop up different county ventures…but if the county doesn’t participate in many of these ventures, they aren’t eligible for grant money, and if they aren’t, they don’t necessarily get to be a part of the ‘detail’, which is paid for by grant money…and now, your hero and ours, John O. Jones, is asking that $10 off each $75 traffic ticket get taken away from the counties’ designations so that it can fund new cruisers for ISP. So…sort of. The ‘state’ always gets a cut somewhere, even if it’s a portion of a $5 ‘sex offense fee’ imposed on fines and fees like a traffic ticket.

  6. Gingerbread-Man

Figure I should be a little more indepth about it so here it is.

    http://judici.com/courts/cases/case_dispositions.jsp?court=IL044015J&ocl=IL044015J,2010TR50,IL044015JL2010TR50D1

this is a traffic ticket issued in Johnson County to a motorist by a District 22 Trooper for traveling at more than 31mph over the speed limit. Click the Fines and Fees button, and it gives you an in depth break-down of where the money goes. None of the money goes to ISP. Clerks fees, States Attorney fees, Court costs, Driver’s Education, Violent Crime fund, Judicial Security, Document Storage, Trauma Center…

  7. 1of6girls

just wondering whether it is legal or not for the owner of Poor Boys girlfriend, (goldigger)to punch someone in the face AFTER a fight is broken up and the people fighting were under control…she walks out the door reaches between a police officer and another patron of the bar and punches this girl str8 in the face and when the other patron asked the police to have HER arrested he refused!!! CORRUPTION at it’s best!!! There was no reason what so ever for her 2 put her hands on this woman NONE!!! But she made sure the woman could not get to her after it was done by running back into the bar!!! FED UP AND DISGUSTED WITH THIS SYSTEM!!!

I don’t think it’s fair to group every cop into the dirty cop catergory. That’s total crap. Sure, these day many punks somehow become cops and make a mockery of the profession. But there are still some good ones who really care about doing their job no matter who they are busting.

  9. red

Well dabby, where might these good cops be?

  10. dabby

Red, so you’re saying everyman with a badge is dishonest and crooked? If so that’s total crap.

  11. Gingerbread-Man

Heh. Thats really not fair to generalize cops that way. Thats no different than saying that every biker that goes to hog rock is a dirtbag, or that everyone who eats at mcdonalds is a fat ass with no self control. There are decent cops everywhere, just like there are shitty ones. It’s just like any other profession. There’s always going to be bad apples that make everyone else look bad.

  12. Galloping County

Gingerbread man if the state is not getting any of the fine money why are they trying to raise the amount a fine is to keep from laying of hundreds of troopers? Not saying that they need a good reason to do anything but you know inquiring minds want to know. By my name you can tell where I

  13. Galloping County

SORRY! live and have been told by the states attorney, sheriff and county board president that tickets the state writes our county see none of that.

  14. Gingerbread-Man

Ask your circuit clerk to see a fine disposition on a traffic ticket and where each division of the money goes and then ask for a detailed explanation of what exactly each description means.

  15. sickofsaline

I find it odd “Millerlite” is asking about the dude in the blue shirt?? Hmmmm

  16. Top Cat

Good luck on that project Galloping Co. :) Some know what you will be up agaisnt asking questions in That Court House.

  17. Just Saying

First of all I am not a close personal friend of Jim Watson. I recently helped Jim with a business transaction and spent some time talking to him and found him to be a very friendly and personable man. He has helped to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for alot of people who need help. If you went to him and told him you needed help the first words out his mouth would be “what can I do”. As far as the DUI case, while I do not condone drinking and driving, I dare say alot of people who have left comments on here have done the same thing, maybe just didn’t get caught. “let those without sin cast the first stone”. As far as Robert Wilson is concerned, he is Jim’s partner, lawyer and friend. His job is to find a way to get people out of trouble. He has a reputation of getting people out of tickets. That is his JOB and he is good at it! If there is a loophole he will find it. He is good at what he does. He is someone you want on your side not the other guys. Someone was on Facebook today and asked who was the best lawyer for a sexual harrassment case and the first name up was Robert Wilson. Like him or not he is good. Just my opinion here..Just saying

  18. Dr. Pawn

Just saying sounds a hell of a lot smarter than the rest of you……

  19. Dwight Eisenhower

    Agreed.

  20. doughnut man

I am a good friend of both Jim and Robert’s and I appreciate what you have said just saying. The next day Jim called me and told me he was sorry for setting a bad example for me and he wanted to apologize… I am not related too this man but he has treat me as a second son and a brother and has introduced me as both plenty of times… he has turned my life around in more ways then one and has made it worth living again which he has done for hundreds of other people. Every time i am introduced too someone they wait until he walks away and tell me how close they are too him and how he is like a father and would help anyone who asks. The man screwed up and is deeply sorry for his mishap he had alot on his plate and decided too drink afew on the way home thousands of people do it every month around the country and it takes something like this to wake someone up and make them think of the harm they are doing. we all make mistakes But do not mistake jim watson is nothing short of an outstanding man the only enemies he has are from business he has help sooo many more people than he has hurt and does not deserve to have his mistakes shoved in his face like this. Hope to see ya all out at poorboys for the veterans benefit hear theres ganna be some really good bbq

  21. doughnut man

The benefit is this saturday by the way

  22. LMAO

You say Wilson is good at what he does? I don’t call walking into the clerks office over a ticket and asking to speak with R.N. and quietly as instructed to do whisper to him a Wilson sent you there you have a speeding ticket,(on the same day you have court) he says what’s the name, goes over to the computer, comes back, tells you to go home and he will look it over. Next day open up mailbox and guess what. Ticket dropped license in box. Is that a good system or a crooked system???? Is it a loophole???? Answer me which one is it??? Come on Pawn I really want to hear your input on this one!!!!! And for Just sayin IS that called being good! No it’s corrupt! Corrupt doesn’t make you good! I watched this happen so no hearsay involved! It’s a fact!

  23. doughnut man

lol if you can do it then why not do it?

  24. Grape Ape

Tickets get dropped all the time by every prosecutor on the planet. Now if he is dropping something serious like burglary charges or criminal sexual abuse charges, then I would be more apt to call him corrupt.

  25. truthteller

satan could prob. be a great lawyer or businessman if he wanted. would you do business with him and sleep soundly at night? or would you always be waiting for him to draw a knife and cut your throat if it benifited him?

  26. Dr. Pawn

“LMAO”….That sounds like a good lawyer to me. He is using the connections he has at any level to help his clients to the best of his ability. So are you saying that Randy Nyberg is corrupt for dropping a small offense such as speeding? Neither are corrupt….

  27. Dr. Pawn

The “doughnut man” sounds an awful lot like the “belly bumpers” son, Ross?

  28. LMAO

Pawn, First off it wasn’t in any way a client this was done for. This kid was doing 85 mph on a side road. This kid had been stopped by the same officer and verbally warned about it already. If this kid crashed head on into your car or your childs car speeding , would it then be a small offense? Yeah you got the connections part right for sure. As far as R.N. that ticket would have never been dropped unless the Wilson name was mentioned. So if I was to go up there with a ticket and ask him to drop my ticket WOULD HE? Hell no I would have to take my ass right on into court and pay the fines, court cost and whatever else they threw at me just because I didn’t mention the right name. Corrupt you damn right it is! It all goes back to exactly what everyone is saying. It’s who you know and that has nothing to do with being a GOOD lawyer.

  29. Breslin

85 on a side road (probably a 20-35 zone) isn’t speeding it is reckless driving. That is a totally different offense. Just saying that story doesn’t really make any sense.

  30. LMAO

I drive the road almost every day it isn’t posted! So most likely 55 mph is more like it. It is considered a rural road. Don’t tell me it doesn’t make sense. Her mother knew the right person to go to. It’s true I was sitting in the damn car. And went to the courthouse with her. Might have helped being the cute little skinny blond she is also. What doesn’t make sense is the part from walking in the courthouse up to the clerks office , then getting the license in the mailbox the next day! Yeah she probably should have got reckless driving. My point exactly it isn’t a small little speeding ticket it’s a BIG one. Poof gone now! Breslin alot of things don’t make sense in Saline County.

  31. Dr. Pawn

LMAO….get over yourself. The fact is the kid didn’t hit anybody or anything so it is a SMALL OFFENSE!!!!!! Robert Wilson is doing his job, plain and simple, and his job is to help his clients to the best of his abilities. Oh I’m sorry….it wasn’t a client, maybe he was just being nice and doing a friend a favor then…..no biggie

  32. LMAO

Me, get over myself! You are soooooo funny Pawn, Robert is NOT nice and you know it. So does everybody else. So why you come on here defending him all the time is beyond me. There could only be a few reasons for you doing that. One being a family member, another a business partner or just maybe you’re just flat out defending yourself. You spend more time on here spitting out this legal shit, it is apparent you are somewhere in the legal profession. You don’t post much unless it involves Saline County’s finest or just anything in general to do with legal issues. And not ever have I seen a post on Wilson or his buddies that you don’t have an issue with what’s being discussed. You’re disgusting! But I do find you entertaining and worry about you getting banned someday. What would we ever do without you I bet you keep the stats up when you roll your mouth like you do.

  33. Dr. Pawn

You are so far from the truth. I just understand how a lawyers mind works, and what they are trying to do. Robert IS a nice person. How am I disgusting? I picture you as a 50-70 year old bitter fucking old hag….and that would pretty much sum up that

  34. LMAO

So far from the truth you are! Wow I did kinda consider you an ass, but maybe an intelligent person. I am nowhere near 50 and bitter, have been a little at times but nothing to do with you or your scumbag friends. Just like telling it like it is , as you seem to do yourself. Anyhows gotta go for now just wanted to nibble on you a little since you can’t resist a good arguement in ole Bob’s defense here and there. Love your postings Pawn you’re quite entertaining and always predictable I always know where to find you on here, just watch Saline County headlines and there you are always in the defense of some POS. LOL

  35. Breslin

85 in a 55 is still reckless driving.

  36. LMAO

Didn’t argue that at all. Amazing what you can get with a pretty little smile and cute little body to go with it!

  37. Dr. Pawn

Of course I post on the Saline stuff…that’s where I live!!! Haha. I mean who really gives a shit about Richland County?

  38. Breslin

    People from Richland County.

  39. Dr. Pawn

Same with people from Saline…haha…it was a joke..
