SALINE CO.—Apparently, “Crazy” Jim Watson, cohort of the big-and-bad in Harrisburg (including attorney/CPA ChickenBob [Robert] Wilson, ISP’s Scott Isaacs and 118th Dist. State Rep. Brandon Phelps), neglected to read our website yesterday evening, and because he did, he missed it that Illinois State Police was holding a “Roadside Safety Check” (show-us-your-papers detention site), on the lookout for drunks on the road.
And they got Crazy Jim in the dragnet.
According to an official police source this morning, Crazy Jim Watson was popped for Driving Under the Influence after he was stopped at a roadside safety check being held in Harrisburg last night, 06.25.10.
Our source indicates that Watson was nabbed by “an out-of-town trooper” who “didn’t know who Watson was or who he was connected to” (Watson owns Poor Boys bar in the ‘burg, and operates, with Wilson, a financial/insurance business in the same town. He’s also been alleged to have more shady, less above-board businesses that he operates with said ChickenBob among others in the county, but those are merely allegations right now—but we’re checking into the latest set of rumors, don’t worry.)
Watson, we’ve been told, was hauled in to the Saline County sheriff’s department/detention center, got his mugshot taken, and was booked before posting bond and being released.
We wanted to hurry and get something online about it, even though it doesn’t incorporate a photo (because it’ll be Monday before we can get the mug), because this whole thing might be “gone” by the time Monday morning rolls around…and we want you good folks to be aware of it.

I have heard but may not be true he bought Lakeside bar. Also was told Wilson was involved. Who knows if true what they will do with that place. Lakeside was a pretty kicken wild place. In their hands I can only imagine. I do know his camper and truck was parked out there a couple weeks ago. Everybody has always told me Poor Boys would provide you with a driver if asked when intoxicated, to bad he didn’t use it himself. But of course he probably figured he didn’t need to in Saline County. Can’t wait to see how this one turns out.
I love how jealous you are of people with some power, Admin. Get used to it, you are on the bottom of the totem pole. And so just because you have business ventures with Robert Wilson it makes you a bad person?

You know Admin, I once knew these two brothers from the burg. Alot alike in the business world but quite different in personality. One is a very sneaky, quiet, and actually quite a few say very dangerous. The other is sneaky in the same but has a very big mouth, twice as arrogant, could be a bit dangerous but definitely can’t keep his mouth shut for sure. But of course in his profession it tends to be useful at times. Admin, Do you have any guesses on who those to might be? LOL Not expecting an answer. Just a thought.
Didnt Crazy Jum Watson go to Harrisburg Medical Center several years ago to get a certain part of his anatamy removed from someones braces… Sorry about the spelling

We heard Brandon was stopped too, but we don’t have any official confirmation on it. We’ve gathered up pics of him in case it’s true though.

You don’t honestly think any trooper in his right mind would actually follow through on arresting an elected official…now do you? Come on guys? How naive can you be? It just doesn’t work that way. If a trooper arrested an elected official it would be because he didn’t know or realize who he was arresting. Eventually, (and that’s only if it really happened), I’d lay odds the trooper would be apologizing dearly for his “mistake”.
Brandon who? David Phelps was ticketed by a trooper on his way to Springfield while he was a State Rep. From what I here by a reliable source, he paid for the ticket as well.
I didn’t realize an elected official from a small town in SI held that kind of stature to not ever be eligible for arrest.
Oh, he can be eligible for arrest…but whether it will be pursued through the court system is a totally different matter.

I think sometimes in cases like those guys you just do so much shit it can’t be overlooked. Eventually they get to brave and to greedy then the walls come down on them.
If it is in D-19 any of the Ahrens boys are not against writing anyone a ticket. Mr. Brandon Phelps and Mr. Jim Watson need to be brought down a few notches, not to mention some of their other cronies that they run with. I won’t name names at this time……but Damn I would love to.
