Grand jury held in Saline Monday 04.26.10: ARRESTS MADE, Mosses involved

Winifred Moss at the Monroe hearing, February 2010.

UPDATE 6 p.m.

Second official source has confirmed names, AND that arrests were made as a result of the grand jury. We don’t know the official charges, but we do know that bond amounts are REALLY high. Names confirmed as follows:

Winifred Moss

Tyler Sanders

Chad Sanders

Eddie Fletcher, Jr.

And two partial names not fully confirmed: a guy going by the name of “Big D” and a woman with the last name of Grady or Goldman.

More as we get it.

UPDATE 5:30 p.m.

We have names.

We also have a couple of pics.

Let us get home and process what we have for web consumption, plus run these names past one more source, and we’ll have it for you.

UPDATE  5 p.m.

We’re hearing that there have been NUMEROUS arrests made this afternoon, explaining the massive police presence in the ‘burg, may be related to the grand jury, may not be. Whatever the case, our sources are indicating it’s members of the Moss family. We’ve sent out emails and texts to our Moss sources but we’re in a dead area of the country right now and can’t make calls. As we get it, we’ll post it; keep checking back regularly, as this is minute-by-minute unfortunately.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Just wanted to remind readers that a grand jury is being held today in Saline County, and here’s what we’re hearing about it:
One of those potentially testifying is none other than Anthony “Turtle” Miller. We don’t know what Turtle is supposed to be questioned about specifically; but without a doubt it’s drug-related. He is currently being held at the Saline County Detention Center, hemmed up on cocaine-trafficking charges. He’s also under charges in Wabash County, but they’re holding off until they see what’s going to go down in the Saline Co matter.
One of those we’re hearing is possibly being scrutinized is Rodney Marcum…although that’s not been confirmed. See previous posts for details on ol Rod.
More to come…keep checking back…
  1. this is all truly sick! im sure ALL of u 2 faced people prolly would shake hands or act like u r interestd n whats goin on in all the “drugdealers” lives if u saw them @ the Kroger or Walmarts. Fred is one of the kindest people any of u know, he is an awsome papa & father. makes me wonder what all u people are doin behind closed doors to have 2 CONSTANTLY bring up every1 elses mistakes?i think the marcum story has ran its course SERIOUSLY GET OVER IT! i just want u to know, ADMIN, UR SOURCES SUCK @SS! so what about nates history so what about stans last name SO WHAT! REMEMBER THOU WHO HAS NOT SINNED SHALL CAST THE FIRST STONE. . . SO GO AHEAD EVERY1 DROP THE F***ING STONES & GET A LIFE!
    • What, exactly, is wrong in the article that makes you believe our sources suck ass?
      We have more than the Daily Ragister had until they got the charges…hell, they haven’t even run photos yet.
      If you can point out what’s inaccurate in this article, I’ll fix it. Have your documentation ready.
  2. Dr Pawn
    When was this photo taken,1972? Nothing will come of it…..
  3. the
    admin i noticed u edit named of suspected drug dealers on here cause you say the have not been convicted but yet you do not edit officer name that have not been brought up on charges or ever close to convicted whats the deal with that
    • ‘Officer name’?
      What are you talking about?
      If you’re referring to multiple police officers being named in an earlier post, police officers are fair game for conjecture as they’re paid by the taxpayer and as such, their work on the taxpayer’s dime is subject to as much open criticism as you can dish. As long as it’s not baselessly false, public officials can be subject to rumor and innuendo and there’s just not much they can do about it.
      The people who were edited were, at the time, people about whom we don’t have first-hand knowledge of convictions. Scott Way, we do. The rest, we don’t. I decided to err on the side of caution and dump the names until we could confirm. This would all be a lot easier if Saline would join judici. But as it is, some of them will have to wait til later when we get to the courthouse. Sorry. We’re just not opening up every can of worms that comes along. And we don’t have time to run every name through every database right now (judici, in this case, would have been perfect, however). We’re in investigation week and it gets kinda hectic scheduling interviews and such.
      Dr. Pawn was right, we aren’t responsible for post commenter’s comments, only our own. However, as you can see by the Sesser thread, some people can’t tell the difference. So we decided to play it safe. If we confirm every name Friday, we’ll restore them. Or write a good article about them in the upcoming print version. Be sure to pick one up, looks like it’s going to be a doozy.
  4. Dr Pawn
    Winifred is a good father? Then you must consider being a good father spending all of your childrens young lives behind bars, confused. It must be easier than I think to father Behind inch thick glass……
  5. Some people need to be educated about drugs. It is all about supply and demand, not race! It doesn’t matter if ur a dealer or a user, black or white, PEOPLE sell, PEOPLE use! Crackheads, tweekers, stoners, pill poppers etc…the drugs nor the drug dealers “DO NOT” care what race u are!
    Seems to me that some1 nds to pull an intervention on their sisters, instead of sittin’ at ur computer.
    With that being said u can put ur “race cards” bck n ur pocket! “JUST SAYN’”
  6. Dr.Pawn…please refrain from speaking about Winfred”s ability to father his children. Yea…he has spent alot of time behind bars, but a couple times they were bogus charges. And what matters is that once he was out and able to love and provide for them he did just that. I am not happy that he is out of my son”s life but i know that he did all that he could to make sure my son was loved and provided for. His character is not on trial so keep the personal comments to yourself. He is and always willbe a loving and caring person, and everybody quick to blast him about the so called drug charges…but how many people was spending his money.
  7. Throwing People under the bus
    I’m sick of reading names of people who were not arrested. I’m ready to see which people arrested turn into snitches and rats. Its’ going to happen people so get ready. Almost all of the people who got arrested last time the grand jury finished up turned states evidence. Some of the people arrested have told in the past and a lot of people know it, but it was a long time ago so its’ been forgotten. I’m also ready to read what people set these people up. I’ve heard a couple names, but can’t prove it yet so I’m gong to leave it alone and not spread rumors, like most on here. A majority of Disclosure readers and posters need to realize its’ not what you know its’ what you can prove.
  8. shunned
    Admin: Just curious, do you have any idea how long the investigation was on going prior to these arrests? Just wondering as the Raymond Martin case has been around for a year now and there hasn’t been any other arrests, despite the persistant rumors of other arrests and progress. I realize these things don’t run on a consistant timeline and you can’t compare one situation to another. Was just wondering if these arrests are a result of a long running investigation, or was this something put together in a short amount of time? And if this investigation has been running for awhile, might there be more arrests once those in custody have been interviewed? People keep posting about the “top tier” drug dealers still breathing free air, and I wondered if the goal of this operation was to get those people? I realize that info is likely confidential, but it seems that many on here seem to have quite a bit of info about this situation and you may have a “best guess” if this was just the first round of arrests?
    • @ shunned:
      We don’t have any inside info that we can talk about at this time…but we can say that some of this (not all, just some) emerged at about the time of the Monroe trial, and we can say that only because we overheard some officials talking about this very set of circumstances. That’s all I can say about it right now.
      The possibility of Raymondo being one of the ones to tip off some of this is a good one…the fact that someone is stirring the bushes over in Williamson and Franklin counties is also very good, those two counties have SERIOUS drug issues where public officials are concerned/involved, and have had for years. There might be some correlation between Gallatin/Saline and Williamson/Franklin. MIGHT be. We keep hearing there is but haven’t done enough looking into it yet to draw any kind of conclusions based on evidence. So we’ll keep looking as long as the input is still there.
  9. Dr.Pawn…please refrain from speaking about Winfred”s ability to father his children. Yea…he has spent alot of time behind bars, but a couple times they were bogus charges.   10. Dwight Eisenhower
    Shocked N Apalled: So are you a Police Officer? I mean how do you know? Did they confiscate YOUR MONEY AND DRUGS? Then you watched them spend the money and/or do the drugs? NO BECAUSE ALL YOU KNOW IS WHAT YOU ASSUME. Bring some facts not accusations.
    I get so tired of listening to losers that get online and bash good Police Officers because they either got hemmed up by them or just don’t like them. Their names can be printed like they are criminals because they are “paid for by us”. It doesn’t really seem fair for people to anonymously talk shit about the same people that they want to call when something goes down.
    Hopefully nothing goes down for those that love to throw the names of the cops around. Who are YOU going to call? Just sayin’.
  11. Dr. Pawn
    “missme12″…Of course all the past charges against Winifred were “bogus!!” Give me a break. I believe you just showed your intelligence. The person who should get the credit for raising Winifred’s kids(or some at least) is Eric Moss. Who spent most of his childhood raising his worthless parents kids….
  12. Someone said that Winifred made a “mistake”. A mistake is something you LEARN FROM!!! When you keep doing the same thing over and over and keep getting put behind bars for it. That is not a mistake. If you keep doing what you have been doing while hoping for a different result. That is being stupid. You think the cops don’t know where to look? Even more stupid.
  13. gingerbread-man
    Dwight Eisenhower, you hit the nail right on the head.
  14. Often the drug dealer believe they are smarter than the cops and can do as they [please because the Cops ain’t smart enough to catch them.Right! That is why we have Prison Over Crowding !
  15. The
    admin you said police officers are fair game for conjecture as they’re paid by the taxpayer and as such, their work on the taxpayer’s dime is subject to as much open criticism as you can dish.     I also noticed that you list names of farmer who get government checks correct. So I was thinking you should list the people who are receiving welfare money , food stamps and have a medical card. Seance they draw pay from the tax payers , does that mean you can talk shit and list there names on here like you can cops and elected officials .
  16. Dwight Eisenhower
    Good point ‘The’ seems we are protecting the wrong people.
  17. IPTF
    don’t like COPS call a crack head the next time you need help .
  18. RJ
    Hey “the” You couldn’t possibly know who’s moving dope from C’dale to Hardin County since high school unless you were also dealing or using.
  19. Dwight Eisenhower
    What makes you think that? I don’t use or sell and I knew atleast three of these guys were involved. So I would have to say being a small town area, that most of us atleast have some idea as to what is going on. There probably IS a high possibility that RJ and many others know who is running the mary jane and blow around these parts.
  20. The
    RJ are you worried your name is going to be up here next lol. What you said is like saying but there doing it to .I would lay money and say its about 30% people on here posting are criminals , 20% police or former police , 10% dealer family, 40 % civilians . For some reason I am going to say RJ is not in the 20 or 40 % range
  21. What?! Wow!!
    Hardin County? Please lets know who is doing that…
    • There’s nothing going on in the Hardin County case until after the next paper UNLESS someone opts to take a plea. They appear next on May 11. All are set for preliminary hearings on that date and most of them will probably waive. We’ll keep you updated.
  22. Actually…smalltowndrama…datbitch is not Natasha. How can you sit here and talk shit about her? What does she have to do with the arrests? If you have so much to say about her I am sure you know where to find her. You dont know her struggle so dont speak on it. And who are you to say that she will never be shit? I AM LIVING PROOF THAT PEOPLE CHANGE. And how many people dont leave they kids with a babysitter…r u serious. I am so glad I am gone from that judgmental ass county! FREE WINFRED, PEACOCK, JARED, CHAD, TURTLE, TYLER, JENNIFER, RAYMOND, BUBBY, DESI, AND ALL THE OTHER REAL ASS PEOPLE I 4GOT…HOLLA! Now what yall got to say….lmao!!!!!
  23. I am new to this site. and i just think it is funny how these small town cops want to go after the small fish when there is big wigs out there like the owner of mackies pizza, mr. nelson,mr. henshaw,mr. rollins !! i mean the list goes on and on!!! I just think if the cops are gonna use our hard earned tax money then they should spend it rite!!!and as far ans the c.i. of the hbg pigz i say let there names ring out !!! chenel wich is dezi’s sister”both snitches” peewee”snitch”!!!! ok i think i have said enough!!! lol p.s. i love this site!!!!
  24. WHAT NOW
    THEY WILL FREE TO ROME GENERAL POPULATION LOL WHERE THEY WILL BECOME SOME1S PRISON BITCH LIKE A FEW THATS ALREADY BEEN TO PRISON WAS B4 WINFRED CHAD RAYMOND. LOL FREE COCK MEAT SANDWICH ALL DAY FOR AND THATS WHAT I GOT TO SAY ABOUT THAT
  25. i just got sum info from the inside that there is gonna be 38 people arrested in all!!! in a lil under 2 weeks there is supposed to be another round of arrests!!!i know of those who are on that list C.W. ,V.G ,N.L ,C.D ,D.J,!!! im not gonna say the names but you get the picture.also i was wanting to say everyone is talking about how the cops are helpful!!! lol my ass them pigs dont do anyhting to help this town!!! they ride around in the a.c. on hot days and thats about it!!!i cant call them when i need help because im afraid they will take me to jail!! thses pigs dont know nothing. if they did then we would be reading about the big wigs being arrested !! but we all know that wont ever happen because the big wigs are the ones who pay the pigs to do there dirty work!!! why do you think when you call a cop in harrisburg , ill. it takes them at least 30 mins to get there??? because they are collecting money from all the big wigs. plus if the big wigs got arrested they wouldnt get nothing but a slap on the wrist like mr. nelson did when he was in F.L a few years back!!!!and to WHAT NOW you must have been one of the moss boys bitch in prison because if u havent seen them you should know that they are pretty big boys and could hold there own in there!!!I THINK YOU SHOULD GO TO SEE THEM AND TALK SHIT TO THERE FACE!!!! have a nice day
  26. I know that years ago Hardin County Pot was the best to be had in C’Dale. Maybe they was selling the Pot there and buying other drugs to take back to Hardin County to sell. No dead heading that way. But some in Hardin County was making a good living doing this. maybe still are.
    • Isn’t pot like coffee—if you have volcanic soil, you have a really good product?
      You guys do know that you have an extinct volcano in Hardin County…don’t you? We’ve got a core dig from it. It’s one of the reasons why your dirt is so black down there. Also north of Hardin, up into Gallatin. If you look at the path the last eruption took, it went northeast.
      So it wouldn’t surprise me if Hardin Co pot would have been the ‘best.’
      I know that’s kind of OT…sorry…but I couldn’t resist. Carry on.
  27. LOL! Thanks for the knowledge Admin.!!!!!!!I now know wher to plant POT!LOL! I have seen this black ground as was told all my life that it was because there was oil under that ground. It never made sense to me that the reason for the black soil was because of oil although some oil have been found there or near there. Anyhoo I didn’t know about this and I am enlightened.
  28. Maybe I can cross pot seeds with coffee beans and you could drink or smoke it and stay awake while you are high.
  29. top cat, lmmfao! if you do that let us know how it turns out! they mite legalize it if its mixed!
    • The state could make a TON of money issuing licenses to certified growers; middlemen (coffee shops, distributors) would also need a license to disburse; and of course there would be an application process (complete with attendant fees—very high, natch) for users before they could buy. Users would have to show proof of employment in a field that requires the need to be alert for long periods of time coupled with the necessity to not get stressed out due to dealing with certain aspects of their job: having to pull long hours (no overtime; it’s just ‘covered in your salary’); needing to be available at a moment’s notice; or having a job where you have to deal with the public and all of the inherent problems that come with that (law enforcement, social service workers, people in the medical field, newspaper publishers LOL).
      Of course because it’s limited to people who are EMPLOYED, the use would immediately be the bane of the justice system, as all the welfare rollers would suddenly find a new line of trafficking to become involved in. Drug dogs would be rendered useless because the dopers learned long ago you can store dope in ground coffee beans to mask the odor from the pooches. However, this product is IN the coffee beans, so the drug dogs take one sniff, drop a couple of turds and look at their handlers as if to say “Really? You want me to make a call on THAT? Get yourself a drug-sniffing cat; I’m done here.”
      Whaddaya think? Time to do some gene-splicing, Top Cat? Or maybe just some transplanting of some cuttings… ;-)
  30. OMG! What can of worms have I opened now. But at least I have some thinking. LOL!
    The only genes I have ever spilt was my LEVIS so I had better bush up on my transplanting skills.
  31. Should you use the word CRACK while posting about a new product.We don’t wish to confuse anyone.
  32. I don’t Twit!I am not sure I want them as my Buddy after all I seen they have done with the drug deals and they ladys.
  33. i have a update on my info i had got the other day. i just learned that there is supposed to be 38 dealers arrested and 5 “C.I.” or snitches what ever you want to call them will be arrested last. you know what i think is funny? i think it is funny that at snitch is only a snitch until the pigz get done with them. after that they are jail bait aswell!i mean if you do the crime quit being a pussy and do the time! dont be a snitch!! thanks and have a greatday!
  34. I agree with you on the Cops using the CIs. That is what they always do because they bust them and tell them they can go free if they work for them. Almost always, and they know, that the druggies aren’t going to go straight and they’ll get to bust them in the end. But the snitches aren’t put into General Pop. at the prisons.That keeps them out of some danger but not all.
  35. Errata
    Wow– I don’t know how I missed this gem from a couple days ago:”if the big wigs got arrested they wouldnt get nothing but a slap on the wrist like mr nelson did when he was in F.L a few years back!”–  ”laughin at pigz”
    I would absolutely LOVE to hear where this story came from. Retired circuit judges from Illinois do have all sorts of pull in Florida, but it seems like even a “slap on the wrist” would be available on the state’s criminal records database…
    It’s amazing what kind of ridiculous shit these imbeciles will believe.
    • We hear ya. I talked to Henshaw the other day about that very thing and a lot of the accusations that have been leveled his way.
      Didn’t Nelson used to be a judge too? Seems like a lot of judges have a lot of people sore at them…to put it mildly…
  36. Errata
    Yeah, he was a judge for several years prior to being elected state’s attorney.
    You’re right about judges having enemies, I just find it ludicrous that people apparently believe that a retired circuit court judge from Saline County, Illinois has some sort of pull in Florida.
    There have long been (baseless) stories about Henshaw being busted in Mexico or Texas, but this is the first one I’ve heard about Nelson. Methinks people are overestimating the power (and corruption) of our local officials…
  37. all i have to say is go interveiw randy moss who is doin 90 years for mr. nelson!!
  38. Errata
    And all I have to say is that you’re an idiot if you believe that.
  39. slamdunc
    I believe Randy is doing 90 years because in one particular drug transaction, he put a gun to the head of an agent and told him that if he turned out to be a cop, he would kill him. I guess they took him at his word, and decided not to give him that opportunity.
    I’ve been hearing these rumors for twenty-five years. I truly believe if there was any merit to the accusations, they would have been busted years ago.
