MONROE TRIAL DELAYED…BUT JUST ONE DAY

SALINE/JACKSON COs.—Everyone who has been wondering how Paul Christenson is going to pull off starting jury selection for his client Tim Monroe in Saline County while handling a preliminary hearing for Kristina Martin in Jackson County now no longer has to speculate: He isn’t.

Monroe’s trial has been delayed one more day, but not because of any machinations on the parts of any of the players: reportedly, Christenson has a murder case he’s handling elsewhere, and has closing arguments in that case tomorrow afternoon (01.26.10). The judge in the murder case is allowing him to handle Tina Martin’s prelim at 8:30 in the morning as scheduled.
Scheduled at the same time as Tina for a prelim are her husband, Raymond Martin and step-son, Cody Martin. They all face multiple charges in an alleged murder-for-hire scheme that emerged early this month; the charges remain in Jackson County and have not been bumped up to fed. Raymond, however, has had his fed case trial date moved to April 12 on account of the new charges.
Monroe’s jury selection will then go off on Wednesday, 01.27.10.
Monroe’s trial has been pending since his arrest in April 2008 on charges that he sold cocaine to local dweeb Rodney Marcum, who hangs with a bunch that includes the likes of the Fonsecas and the county’s prosecutor Mike Henshaw (even though Henshaw says they only have a casual acquaintance, along the lines of the fact that Marcum is some kind of masonry worker and did some work for the prosecutor in days past.)
Interestingly, a week ago, Marcum, clear out of the blue, submitted a statement into the evidence file which reads that he has never seen cocaine in his life except for the coke that Monroe sold him during the incident in question.

We’ve been told that Henshaw isn’t planning on calling Marcum to the stand as a witness. It’s unknown whether Christenson will do so…but it’s probably highly likely. We don’t know if subpoenas have been issued for Marcum, or whether he’s just laying really, really low and hoping his statement will speak for him.
But if Christenson does call Marcum, the prediction he gave Henshaw last month about the trial being a “bloodbath” will probably begin with Marcum’s testimony, as it’s alleged that he’s part of the inner circle of Henshaw/Robert Wilson/George Henley/Jimbo Watson/John B. Jones/David Cox/Paul McSparin/others of their ilk…and that Marcum’s ‘part’ is that of the provider of “the good stuff.”
We will be bringing the most up to the minute stuff we can on both the Martin and Monroe cases as they progress, and as much coverage as possible in the print version, on stands Feb. 8-10.

Rodney just THOUGHT he was going to love the attention. He is not a REAL player in any of this. Ole Rod, is just some Good Ole Boy, that never got any attention so he opened his mouth, and doesn’t know how to handle it. As far as the good shit, I doubt that the ones who have access to the good shit, would hand it over to Rod. Do to the fact everyone knows he is trouble. Desperate kind of trouble….you know a real talker. I love the statement that Marcum has never seen coke. Hell what is all that stuff he’s been sniffing up his nose for years? Inositol? I think not. I don’t understand why he opened his mouth. He wasn’t in trouble and really had nothing to do with this case in the beginning. Monore was caught delivering to Cynthia Glore, who is related to David Nelson.
If we’re remembering correctly, the court documents, at least in discovery, show that Marcum was one of the people Monroe allegedly delivered to. There are three separate counts. So that’s where he comes in. And now they’re all scratching like cats in a litterbox trying to cover all the shit that’s been strewn about in the wake of it. It might very well be that none of this would have happened if Henshit hadn’t gone out of his way to tell everyone involved what came out during Monroe’s proffer interview. Legally speaking, that was dumb as hell; Henshit opened this case up further than it needed to be. Of course, if he hadn’t run for and won the state’s attorney’s office, this might not have taken the turn it did, either, because he was still in ‘retired judge’ status when the charges were filed.

Another interesting thing about Marcum’s statement is if he’s never seen coke why would he want some coke delivered to him. This would mean he has never tried it or anything in his past. There is no reason for him to want some coke. LOL He will be very lucky if he isn’t charged with giving a false statement to police over this one.

Monroe didn’t give or sell drugs to his students. Monroe didn’t sleep with his students. He was dating a GCO basketball player who was a senior when he was at Galatia. I’m pretty sure the girl was 18 at the time they started dating also.
What police officer did he deliver to? I’m pretty sure he didn’t sell to a police officer. He sold to a CI, who is a person buying drugs for the police to get out of trouble. People like Glore wore a wire on him 3 different times. This is why if he wins this case he could still be tried on the two other deliveries in court. He also has the harassment case to worry about. 95% of people helping the police got caught up in some trouble and are trying anything possible to get out of it.
Actually, GoMules, Christenson has a plan for the other two charges. If he wins this first one, it will go badly for the other two.

The problem is, if there weren’t any product being trafficked into Saline County by the massive LOADS, facilitated by whom we believe is facilitating it, then it wouldn’t be sold by the “teenager” (a term we’ve learned through this case referring to an amount in grams) between these punks. When you’re working with dope by the horse-trailer loads, you need to look at the BIG FISH who’s trafficking it in by those amounts. Busting these petty users is a waste of manpower and energy and the court’s time. So we’ll see what comes out in this case. “Bloodbath” might be an understatement.

I have a question for you, do you think the cops should be embarrassed that they tried to set up a guy and couldn’t even get an 8 ball out of him while they watched the saline county’s real drug dealer pull up into his driveway to deliver it. The undercover cop came to his house and he didn’t have any so he had to make a call to Marcum to be able to get it for him. Tim was just getting it for that tramp Carolyn he was the middle man not the dealer. Now if I was a cop doing my DUTY I would have went straight after Marcum, wouldn’t you? You have to realize he is protected by the great Mike Henshaw and he will have any cops ass who messes with his source.
In response to “hmm..”: From what I understand of this case, it seems all parties involved should be prosecuted.
This includes both Monroe and Marcum. They both had a choice to not participate in anything to do with cocaine.

Hang on a minute Admin. This could be part of 2 stories here if I remember correctly.
Pictures of Cody Martin and 2 female high school students were what sped up his dismissal as the school security officer (or whatever they called one deliquent supervising other deliquents). Both girls had their “girls” exposed in the pictures while he handcuffed them or held a nightstick like he was going to club them. These pictures were taken at the school during school hours.
Seems like one of these girls is/was/is the girlfriend of Tim Monroe. The pictures made the rounds and eventually wound up being seen by one of the members of the school board and Mr. Martin became unemployed.
That may be the connection Madhatter was alluding to.

Sorry Geez and Carolyn none of your stories are true. First, I look nothing like Andrea and no he wouldn’t touch Henshaws wife with a ten foot pole although he does get this black guy to come and “please” her while he watches. Second, “honey” go back to your meth pipe I have never seen or done cocaine in my life and never will, and Kathy is the woman that worked with Tim that was nice enough to take him to school because he didn’t have his license. I do remember the Jimbo’s incident. I was in the band that night. There was a big fight and at least six police cars. (We took pics and posted them on our site) A tall black man came from the other room in handcuffs first and then came a medium build white dude in cuffs that looked kinda clean cut except for the blood on his shirt. I thought at the time “dang, somebody has some balls” not knowing what had happened. My black musician friend, who was waiting to play a song, got up and gave me the look (the one black guys give their white friends when they know there are going to be some more arrests and they need to leave) and he vanished with guitar in hand. My visiting friend from Beale Street (yeah, the Memphis one) also decided to leave after only a few songs with my band. Everyone was terrified of the police it seemed. So about 20 minutes later, here comes the white dude freshly released from the custody of law enforcement. They arrested him for a reason. They made a decision and arrested him accordingly….. so I thought. He waltzed back in like nothing had happened and had a seat at the bar. I distinctly remember thinking “HTF does someone convince the police that they got the wrong guy in that amount of time”. I am sure this would not ever happen to me. The black guy never made it back but I’m sure he was released also. He was probably smart enough to just go home after all of that. My point here is that this behavior of his was affecting our mojo for the rest of the evening and that is not something you should do to any band.
And the part about him being released so quickly was another point.

Old Dog, unless we are talking about a different incident at Jimbo’s. Your impression of the whole ordeal is a little wrong. The clean cut white guy was released quickly. He had been assaulted, as well as the bartender, by several yound black men. This is how I remember the evening. Hardly anyone there, (and if we are talking about the same night, including you) did nothing. A group of men assaulted the female bartender, took liquor bottles, and used them as clubs on the “clean cut guy” This was a mistake, the clean cut guy is a bad ass. He put up a hell of a fight. The owner locked himself in the office, a couple of the “clean cut’s” friends tried to help but there were to many. The mob even included the women that were with them. When someone yelled cops they scattered like roaches when you turn the lights on. They cuffed and stuffed who they could find until they sorted it out. Since the mob took off on foot, and they took statements from on lookers, it was obvious he wasn’t the person that need to be arrested. Its not the clean cuts fault that it took a mob to take him down. Sometimes you just should mess with a country boy. As for the mob, those yay hoos, are the biggest dealers in Carrier Mills. The guy that got thumped, just a good ole boy redneck that wasn’t going to back down from the whole, “Whatcha goin do about it Cracker” and I am quoting word for word. Are we talking about the same incident? If so, since your boy gave you the cops are coming look? If he knew these jokers, and are asscociated with them? And Katie, we just recently heard this story, two different versions of it. The key points in it were similar in both, it’s just that one was from the “legal” end and one was from the “less-than-legal” end. Sounds to me like you were there, and saw the whole thing, if these other two guys are to be believed.
Don’t know about your other two guys. Can’t say. I will say that I don’t remember a band being there at all. May just be something that has escaped me with everything else. We were drinking a beer. Not to mention, there have been other incidents at that establishment. That is why I said if we are thinking of the same night. May or May not be. As for Carolyn not being out there is a reason for that, this gal is by far the ugliest woman in southern illinois. Carolyn has not held a job the last 20 years,she has lost her son, she would do anything for some crack and i mean anything. I give Carolyn a house cleaning job in the summer of 2007, she moved to florida with a guy in september of 2007. she returned in november 2007 and shortly after that i fixed her up with a guy named jay gullett. This relationship lasted through christmas until jay got sent back to prison and that’s when mr zurliene comes in. I can’t tell you all this until next week but believe me i will give you every detail, i just hope mr zurliene didn’t catch hepatitis c that carolyn contracted from mr gullett, i’m so bad a guy i paid for the medicine for my housekeeper because she was so devastated. I was just telling a story of some events at Jimbos. I just thought it was rare to see someone released. I’m all for freedom man. I hate prison and jails. Who doesn’t know the person with the OP against me. If you knew the facts you would be on my side. This fight I was talking about happened around Thanksgiving I believe and it went down like I watched it go down. It was just a fight at a bar. I was impressed that the police actually let someone go. I had never seen that before. My black friend plays guitar and doesn’t hang with any hoodlums. That is why he got out of there. If there wasn’t a band on the night in question, it was a different night. I don’t get why someone would bring up my OP nightmare. Do you know anything about it? Do you know my son was taken from me for two months by this person against a judges orders? Do you know she does this yearly? Do you know she has been charged with attempted homocide and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon both in the last eight years. Did you know she has been locked up in Choate mental institution as part of a plea agreement twice since 2001? Did you know her family is terribly embarrassed by her actions?
