FORUMS!!!! (with bugs, apparently)

We installed forums over the weekend. Feel free to go ahead and register. I’m not sure how moderated they are, so have at it and we’ll see how it goes.

After you register, just start your own topic and follow on through.

UPDATE: There are evidently some bugs…

You folks can go ahead and try but we’re not sure about starting topics/privilege levels…we’re gone most of the day but we’ll try to keep up with it.

  1. Tried to start a thread, but it said “could not save post” or some such thing.

Can’t devote any time to figuring out what went wrong, but it didn’t work for me, fyi.

  2. I signed up, got the email, and signed in. Maybe it just hasn’t been activated yet?

  3. Josh

If you wouldn’t mind having a free forum, that you could put in an iframe on your site, runboard.com has really excellent forums.. and support.. specially the support since I am a moderator there.

  4. Posted a test topic for Richland county. Seems to be working.

  5. Can we keep our real name and address from the public?

    • Yes, you can make up whatever name you want. The only thing you have to provide that’s real is an accessible (to you) email addy. We never even see that email address. So you can remain as anonymous on the forum as you are on these posts.

  6. Great ! I’ll get it done sometime today!

  7. I tried several times and it wouldn’t except my password.I got a new one and it wasn’t accepted.I think I’ll just stay inforumed by reading as i have been and post that way to.

  8. Well, other than the avatar being the default one (even after I successfully uploaded one, or so it told me) and me not being smart enough to figure out the smilies, it appears good to go; although I did notice…when you look at someone’s profile, it is all black unless you highlight it…then you can see the info.
