EXPLOSION IN PALESTINE (CRAWFORD COUNTY), Ill.

PALESTINE–There’s been an explosion in a dryer in the distillery portion of the Lincoln Land Agri-Energy Plant in Palestine. The explosion took place at approximately 4 a.m. this morning, 12.14.09.
Nobody has been hurt in the blast, which reports indicate blew out some walls and damaged some equipment heavily. The operations have been shut down at the plant until an investigation can be completed.
This might mean good news to folks in Palestine who get held up by trains clogging the tracks across the main thoroughfares as they load or unload at the plant.
Agri-Energy is another name for ethanol and ‘biodiesel,’ made at the plant.
We don’t need to go into how we believe vegetation should be used to feed animals and people, not cars.
